Kobe has been my favorite for several years now. The service is usually excellent. During peak times it may be a little slow but they are quick with appetizers and drinks so if the entree's are slow that's ok. The Snow Mountain Roll is TO-DIE for !!! This is also the place in PTC for celebrity spotting! With the movie industry coming to town the word has spread fast that Kobe is the best in town. I recently spotted a couple of Producers from the Walking Dead and have heard from friends of seeing other big name celebrities. The key is to sit in the dining room. The Hibachi area can get really full & loud. We've always sat in the main dining area and received GREAT service!!!

Candyland. Meaning everything is ridiculously sweet. Yes, some people like it, but I sure don't. It's funny the restaurant is called Kobe, because they don't actually have Kobe beef! My agedashi tofu came on a doily style napkin. Where is the ponzu? My husband's steak and shrimp dish was so sweet, he just gave up on it. No amount of Sriracha or soy sauce could save it. Meager selection of sake, too. I would drive to Atlanta to eat before I'd come here again.

I've been coming here for over a year, mostly for dinner and more recently for happy hour (4:30-6:30). I can't speak for hibachi because I always get the sushi (which is fantastic). Basically everything I've tried has been a winner. Even the soup and salad are great (and cheap). The fish is always fresh, and their rolls are creative. My current obsession is the black pepper tuna roll - it's spicy and delicious. The Japanese bagel and dinosaur are also winners, and if you like more simple (and non-raw) sushi, I'd suggest the chicken or shrimp tempura rolls. The tempura batter itself is amazing, so the shrimp one is my go-to appetizer. I also love the wontons and the lettuce wraps. The best thing about this place is almost all of my favorites are half off during happy hour. It's an insane deal. Prices during normal hours are comparable to any other good sushi place, so it's a real steal. This is one of my top 5 sushi restaurants right now, so I highly recommend it.

Food = 4 Price = 4 Experience = 2 (waiter was unorganized and delivered food in the wrong order? But, overall not too bad) Silly banging of drums and loud singing happy birthday was extremely annoying... and it happened several times during our dinner... just stupid and silly.

I will say that I have never written a review for any restaurant. This is by far the best hibachi you will ever have. I have been to higher end hibachi at resorts and across the country. Kobe blows them all away. From the salad dressing to the yum yum sauce, it is all delicious! This is the place we come to whenever we are visiting from California. You can not go wrong. And as an extra special bonus, the portions are huge :)

1 star : for being a restaurant ! 6 floor staff overwhelmed by 12 customers! A host / bartender, who's name starts with the 1st letter of the alphabet , doesn't even know the menu, or what some items on a sushi plate are. Weak. Not to mention the lack of personal hygiene. One word - Deodorant Don't waste your time , drive through McD's, get a filet o fish, The service will be better too.

Great service and excellent food!! We had a party of 6 on a busy night and the service was fast and friendly, the food was excellent. We had hibachi the quality of the sauces and meat was wonderful. Also the apple saki we had was awesome. This will be a place I come back to again for sure.

I came here for lunch twice in the last three weeks. The restaurant continues to either be understaffed or the staff is not trained. The restaurant is only about 20% full and it took 20 minutes for someone to take my order. Totally disorganized. The food is pretty good, when it finally comes. You'll have to shout at one of the waitstaff as they rush by to get refills or your check.

Had a terrible dinner here last night! The hibachi beef was so dry and over cooked! The mojito lack flavor and the sashimi was not fresh! Horrible horrible place to go and spend $100 plus on a food court quality meal! Its not worth the time and money! They need to train their chefs on how to serve good quality food!

If you're in the mood for excellent, high quality food for a very modest price, you must go to China Bistro for lunch or dinner.

Haven't had the food yet, but the first thing I heard when we sat down was that they haven't renewed their liquor license. This cancels out the most delicious meal I could have ever eaten. What else has the manager forgotten? That YOU CANT HAVE A BAR ADVERTISING ALCOHOL WITHOUT BOOZE!?!

I tried the Hibachi Grill and Sushi. Chef was entertaining but food was very bland. I don't think I will return.

Food is pretty good but this place lacks efficent service. I waited at least 40 min for a simple teriyaki beef dish. The sad part was there were only two other people in the restaraunt. The servers were nice and were willing to help but the system is just overall slow. I would come here again because of the food but be prepared to wait a while.

Christmas eve when my family was visiting we desided to eat here and im glad we did.. The moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile and had a few min wait. Not bad being this place was packed. When we sat down our server came right over an introduced herself ..She was the most attentive server I have come across in along time. Our drink glasses stayed fresh and full ..she was always checking on us and left not one dirty dish for us too look at, But what stood out the most too me was her smile. She smiled the entire time. A+++++for great service..We Also got lucky too have the most amazing chef. He was so engaging and hilarious that we laughed so hard. I loved his energy and his uncanny ability to really put on a fantastic show..

Disappointing. The hostess and manager were not willing to make any effort accomodate a single diner at the hibachi table even though there was a spot clearly available. The food is OK - about the same as every other Japanese restaurant in PTC.

Really good happy hour!!! The prices on everything were great! We had a lot of different things and the sushi is definitely the way to go, it was delicious! The calamari wasn't anything to brag about, neither was the shumai. Our server was great! Good food, great service and really good happy hour prices, will definitely go back!

Whenever my daughter and I have a craving for Japanese food - we both agree on Kobe. This place has never disappointed us. I don't remember what sushi I have tried as I try to get something different each time but so far, whatever I have ordered is always fresh and tasty. The other non-sushi items I have ordered have been pretty good as well. The service is friendly and I like that the lighting in the dining side is low-lit...it feels kinda cozy. We haven't dined on the habachi side yet but when we do, I'll have to update my review here. We love the salad dressing here. I don't know what's in it because no one I've begged would share but it's the best ginger dressing I've ever had.

Swung by to pick up some sushi on our way home. Sat at the bar while we waited. Bartender and waitstaff very friendly. Looks like a place people frequent because there was a familiarity with the people coming and the staff and what to order etc. Sushi was the best we had had so far in PTC. Look forward to coming back and doing the whole Japanese Steak House thing. Don't let the sterile look the Peachtree City requires them to have street side on Hwy 74 fool you. Quite comfy and "nice japanese" decor.

  • Lauren Y.

They have the best fried rice of any Japanese places I've eaten at. They have great chefs who cut up and make your meal a lot of fun. Their meat is always fresh, and you get shrimp to sample with your meal! I don't eat sushi, but the hibachi meals are wonderful, and there is always enough for lunch the next day!

Not really Japanese style. Just American style of Japanese food. But the service is so greet. If you are an Asian, never go there. In contrast, if you are American, you wold have a great time there

  • Steve M.

Mediocre food and subpar service. I waited 15 minutes before being asked if I wanted anything to drink or order. The lunch was okay, but no one ever refilled my drink. I waited another 15 minutes for my check.

This was my second trip there. First trip sat at grill and would rate that experience 3 stars. This time in the dinning area, the service was terrible, food was poorly prepared ( unless you enjoy raw chicken). I live in PTC, have no plans to return to this Kobe.

Service was fabulous, I had the hibachi chicken it was delicious. The rice was scrumptious. Hmmm just so yummy to my tummy. I highly recommend. I will be back again.

Kobe is definitely worth a visit if you have a long lunch break. Lunch prices are very reasonable for Hibachi, but it's not ideal for those of you who have regular jobs instead of working from home like myself. You'll often be seated alone with your friends as they usually don't have much of a lunch crowd, but I typically see the place busting at the seams during dinner. I've only ever been during lunch as I find their dinner prices a little high. I know it's hibachi, but I wasn't thrilled with the service when I was there, so the price doesn't match the experience. The chefs/cooks are friendly and fun, but the wait staff is often pretty slow to refill drinks. Portion size is ok, but inconsistent. Some times I have tons of left overs, other times it's just enough. I know that's a moot point because I always have enough, but if you read enough of my comments, you'll notice that I harp on consistency. If you're in the mood for hibachi, you'll get decent food at a good price for lunch.

We've been here for dinner and lunch before. We always sit at the hibachi tables. Lunch portions are just as big as the dinner portions, minus the shrimp appetizer. The cooks are very entertaining and the servers we've had are very good. The food tastes great. Will definitely be coming here a lot.

I love this place. My wife and I visit frequently for their habachi grill. The show is always great, and the food is tasty and very filling. The service is good, the wait is acceptable and the prices aren't too bad for the area. I recommend this establishment, particularly the habachi grill.

We celebrated Mother's Day at Kobe. My mom loves Benihana's but we did not want to make the drive. We arrived at the restaurant at 4:15 today (Saturday) and the restaurant still allowed us to order off of the lunch money (saving us money). That was great! Our waiter was good about refilling drinks. I ordered the shrimp and scallop hibachi. It tasted great! We all took home to go plates from the lunch portions and were able to spend less. Our chef was entertaining and nice. However, it seems like all of the waiters there sing "I like to move it move it". Almost like it's rehearsed? Ours did and the one next to us. Needless to say, I think they should update. Not a biggie, but just something I noticed. Also, I want to go back and try the sushi. I'm sure it would be great. Just an FYI, the lunch portion of salmon is not that filling for men. My dad was the only person to not have a to go plate and he isn't a very big eater. If you want that, order an appetizer because you won't be full.

  • Carol K.

We went to the Hibachi grill to celebrate a birthday and left with to go boxes filled with food that would last us a week. Not really, but you better be hungry when you go. Each of the dinners includes soup, salad, rice, vegetables and shrimp appetizer. I think the children's portions are just as big as the adults --- maybe that is why we came home with so much. This place is casual and accustomed to children. In fact, I'm not sure who had more fun our chef or the children. The chef that we had also had several jokes we had not heard. I'm not usually one of those people that critiques decor. However, sometimes places like this can go overboard with the shogun decorations. However, I must say that I liked the simple, clean and modern decor.

This is my favorite restaurant here in PTC. Almost everytime I've been I've had the chicken teriyaki dinner or some kind of sushi rolls. The chicken is so fresh and juicy and the teriyaki sauce has its own unique taste. I am no sushi expert but what i've had has been really delicious. They serve very large rolls and its definitely more bang for your buck. The bar is great, drinks are also a good size and taste just right. OVerall this restaurant is wonderful!

I was in town visiting my family from California and was craving sushi. A friend suggested Kobe, so we went for lunch. We went on a Monday at 12:30pm, the place was kinda quiet but we were helped right away as we walked through the doors. Our server was super nice and attentive. We ordered off their lunch special menu which is pretty well priced. Their regular menu was huge and well priced as well. I was tempted to get one of their many choices of Bento Boxes, but wasn't starving so i chose something else. We got the two choices of sushi and a salad option for $8.95, which is great! I got the California Roll and the Salmon Avocado roll and my aunt and her friend got the Shrimp Tempura roll. They both ordered hot tea as well. The salads came with their house ginger dressing which was great. All of the rolls we got were good. The favorite was the Shrimp Tempura, it was huge too! The sushi was fresh and tastefull. Overall, we had a great experience.

Kobe is always good, always fun. BF and I came here with his family. We all did hibachi. I got the vegetable one, and got the miso soup. LOVED the miso soup. The only real reason I withhold a star this time is they only had a fried tofu hibachi option. Why is it fried??? Ew. I want regular tofu. Regular, grilled tofu. Not fried. Why is everything fried down south? Tried a bite of BF's fried rice. Fine, nothing awesome. Someone had a birthday in the room and the employees sang happy birthday and it was really loud and obnoxious, but some people like that kind of thing. BF's nephew used a booster seat and it was nearly falling of the chair all night. They may want to invest in some new booster seats. Those ones are just not safe. Wish they had non-friend tofu. That would've made this perfect.

Visited this establishment during weekend lunch hours, placed a takeout order, and they forgot our sushi!! I had to call back and my fiancée made a 20 minute trip back for the food. I always check my bags, but this time I didn't. I still think that she should've checked the bag before giving it to us. They did comp the rolls, so I give them three stars for that alone! I ordered the bento box and the tempura was bland! The salad they gave us was iceberg lettuce and a few slivers of carrot and red cabbage, the fried rice was okay and the eel roll had bones in it!!! I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again.

This place is absolutely phenomenal!! The prices are reasonable, the servers are so friendly & Benny the Chef is the one to ask for! You definitely have to try the Thai Roti and Curry Chicken appetizer! It is to die for and the absolute sole motivation causing me to take the time to write this review. My entree was Filet Teriyaki Mignon and chicken. Cooked to perfection with their excellent fried rice! I will most definitely eat here again soon!!!

Our food was delicious. Hanna was a sweet, young waitress. The atmosphere would have been fine but the section on the other side of the half wall was empty and several employees were in a both. They were talking very loud about their schedule. "Go get your own!" Then singing loud and just not appropriate conversation or behavior for the dining room.
